Students and members in the community donated Monday, November 23, in benefit for Travis Stringer at Deaconess Home Care,
We would like to thank those who took time out of thier busy schedules in order to donate. If you could not make it and would like to donate, please contact Mississippi Blood Services or donate at a blood bus.
You must be 17 years of age, or 16 with a Parent Consent form, and weigh at least 110 lbs.
What you get:
*Free T-shirt and snack!
*Seniors recieve cords at garduation (have to donate 1st & 2nd semester).
*You will be healthier!
*You are less likely to have a heart attack!
*You will lose weight!
*You're assured one pint of blood for one month after giving!
*You save lives and can feel proud!

Learning About Balance
While studying the external regions of the brain, Mrs. Byra Nelson's Human A&P class discussed the cerebellum. Learning that this region helps in balance and coordination, the students decided to see how well this area worked. The classmates broke up into two groups and decided to race each other. As a team, they discovered their abilities to work together and overcome obstacles. In the end Group 1 won the race.

Raisin' the Roof
Shelly Booth, a senior at Magee, has been working on a colorful senior project this semester. For her product, she distributed ceiling tiles to her fellow peers and teachers to paint. Booth is persuing a career in anesthesiology after high school. With this in mind, she wanted to produce wonderful images for the patients that would recieve anesthesia. She plans to donate the tiles to Magee General Hospital where they will actually be put into the ceiling.
